It's got hip and trendy. It's got loads of artwork, loads of graffiti, and apparently it's where the locals will come for a drink.”

Cartahena became one of the richest ports in the Americas... It was clear as we explored the wall city that this is the grand touristy heart of Kartahena.”

“the ladies used to braid maps in their hair or used to use braids to make maps uh to give people a route to Palinka, which is essentially a free town about an hour away from here. So, they had a deal with the government essentially saying we're free people, but people used to try and escape here, go to there, and use the braids through it, which was really interesting.”
