“Just a short drive ahead, we reached our next stop, Ananuri Fortress. This 16th-century fortress overlooks the reservoir and feels like something straight out of medieval movie. You can actually walk inside the fortress, climb the towers, and spend some time exploring the area.”

“And finally, we arrived at the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church. Located at about 2,100 m above the sea level, this 14th century church sits on a hill with Mount Kazbek towering behind it. The weather was not the best when we visited, but on a sunny day, the church, the mountains, and the clouds moving across the peaks honestly would look amazing.”

“Look at this beautiful place. This is our first stop on the way to Kazbegi. It's called Zhinvali Reservoir. The reservoir is known for its incredible turquoise water surrounded by mountains. It supplies drinking water to Tbilisi, but for travelers like us, it's perfect place to stop, take photos, and just admire the scenery.”
