“So, we popped into the Bendino Bendino Cafe. It was originally going to be for a coffee, but they changed their mind and you're getting a Mojito. And I'm getting a Caprioska, I think it was. After finally crossing the street, it's a bit of a mission. This is cute, this place here.”

“Then you can see the Four Seasons Hotel built into the hill here, and there's a new hotel being built at the moment overlooking the bay.”

“And there were a couple of others where the Four Seasons is now; that one was built, and the Ayana Resort a little bit further around. These are built on much, much larger grounds than some of the hotels up in Seminyak and Legian and Kuta.”

“When we come to Jimbaran Bay, we always stay at the Intercontinental Hotel. It is a stunning resort, and it does have a pretty special place in our heart, as we got married here 13 years ago this year. In fact, we had a reception right behind me here at the Sunset Bar. But this resort is one of the largest, in fact, on the island, sits on about 40 acres, and is an amazing place.”

“Our first stop on our little bike tour is a traditional market here in Jimbaran, and he's just given us a warning about it might be a little bit smelly. Here the colours, sounds, and smells hit you all at once: vibrant stalls overflowing with tropical fruit, fragrant spices, and fresh produce, with locals chatting, laughing, and bargaining over their morning purchases.”

“But the highlight, without a doubt, the famous Jimbaran Fish Market. We rolled in just as the fishermen were wrapping up their morning's work. The market was buzzing: fresh snapper, tiger prawns & lobster, mahi-mahi, the market had it all.”
