Cerro de las Tres Cruces is a popular hiking destination in Medellín, known for its challenging ascent and panoramic city views. It's a favorite spot for locals to exercise and enjoy nature.

Hike this challenging trail on a weekend for rewarding city skyline vistas from the summit, marked by three crosses.
In their own words: “Located on the southwestern edge of the city, the Hill of Three Crosses is a short yet somewhat challenging trail. The hike is about 2.8 kilometers or 1.7 miles long. It also has 343 meters or 985 feet of elevation gain. This out-and-back trail usually takes between 1.5 or 2 hours to complete. As you ascend, you'll be rewarded with amazing vistas of the city skyline as well as various types of flowers. The summit is marked by three crosses and is the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. We had a few safety recommendations from locals about this hike. And number one is do it on the weekends because there's just a lot more people around. Number two: don't do it when it's dark. And number three: don't do it after big rain because the trail can get very slippery.”
