In their own words: “One of the most impressive places we visited in South Bali was Gauda Wisnu Cancana Cultural Park, also known as GWK. The main statue is massive and can be seen from different parts of the area. The park combines open spaces, balan cultural elements, and viewpoints, so it's not just one quick photo stop. If you're visiting in the late afternoon, we highly recommend staying for one of the traditional performances. We watched the Jiwa cultural performance inspired by Bali's famous Ketak dance. If you're interested in culture, architecture, and large landmark attractions, GWK is a good place to include, especially if you're already exploring Uluatu or the southern part of Bali.”

Marvel at the colossal Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, one of the world's tallest, and explore the vast cultural park with its various statues and event spaces.

Visit this massive 60-hectare park to see the 121-meter-tall statue of Vishnu riding Garuda, a monument visible from the airport.
In their own words: “Leaving our seaside sanctuary behind, we head south to one of Bali's most iconic landmarks, Garuda Wisnu Kenchana Park. At the center of Bukit Peninsula, GWK Park is an absolute must-see. On the way down to Melasti Beach, a top the highest point of the peninsula is its centerpiece, a statue of the Hindu god Vishnu, riding the mythical eagle Garuda. At 121 m tall, nearly 30 m taller than the Statue of Liberty, this monument is so massive in scale, you can actually see it from inside the Bali airport terminal.”
