In their own words: “First, tonkatsu restaurant which got the Bib Gourmand! A small restaurant known for its kakiage-don Kakiage is made entirely with shrimp, topped with a secret sauce. What makes this place even more special is that they stick to the Edo-style tempura tradition, frying everything in sesame oil. This spot earned a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide for offering incredible value without compromising on quality. Of course, I went for their signature shrimp-only kakiage bowl. The kakiage itself? Light and crispy from the first bite. And the shrimp inside, so juicy. The sauce they drizzle over the top had this amazing depth, it wasn’t overpowering, but it brought everything together. And the rice, it’s not just any rice. They actually cook it with charcoal and ice in the pot. You can definitely taste the difference.”
