The Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site, are among Bali's most stunning and unspoiled rice paddies. Located far from town, they offer peaceful walking paths and panoramic views of the landscape and distant volcanoes.

Visit early morning for fewer crowds and soft lighting, especially after the rainy season when the fields are most vibrant.
In their own words: “This is one of the most beautiful rice field landscapes in Bali. As you can see, the rice terraces just kind of cascade across the mountains. And it's recognized as UNESCO World Heritage site, mostly because it uses the ancient Sububac irrigation system, which is a traditional water management technique to actually water all of the rice terraces, which keeps it very green and fertile.”

In their own words: “Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Some of my favorite rice terraces in Bali are the ones at Jatiluwih. These are far from town so they haven’t been spoiled by tourism like the terraces at Tegalalang. There’s a walking path at Jatiluwih and you can catch some great views of the Bali volcanoes in the distance.”
