“If you are on the Sea Point side and you are a bit hungry, a perfect stop is at Mojo Market, a vibrant indoor market with different food stalls. “Take a day of your trip and drive south of Cape Town towards Cape Point. On the way set out your route through Boulders Bay to visit the colony of African penguins. [12:20] Cape point is the Southeastern corner of the Cape Peninsula and it is definitely worth a visit. “Obviously you probably have seen already the colorful houses in Cape Town. Those are in the city center, specifically in Bo Kaap, an area built for slaves brought from Malaysia, Indonesia and the rest of Africa to work. The houses were leased to the slaves and while on lease, all the houses had to be white. When this rule was lifted, the slaves were allowed to buy the properties and painted bright colors to express their freedom. We recommend you to visit the Bo Kaap Museum, which is very important to understand the history of the neighborhood.”
