“One local restaurant that we went to quite a bit was called Moonlight and it was on a side street off of that main Had Lamai Road area. And honestly, this place was wonderful. It was a huge outdoor restaurant and local family that runs it. Huge menu. I mean, honestly, anything that we had here was absolutely incredible. Um and it was really, really affordable, too. You're looking at around two to four US dollars per meal, depending on what you get. And we went back here numerous times. And I remember you saying you thought the curries were some of the best >> Some of the best curries, Thai curries that I've ever eaten in my life. So, definitely check out Moonlight.”

“Another restaurant we would recommend is right on that main Had Lamai street, and it's called Nana Tam's. It's a slightly more upscale restaurant. Um really, really lovely place. Um but also very delicious local food and very affordable, even though it is a little bit more upscale. Definitely a place that's going to have a lineup in the evening.”

“we would also recommend going to the Lamai night market. You know, there's just something for everyone there, which is great. And, you know, you can try out those Thai dishes if you're new to the scene. Check out the banana bread there. It's out of this world, so good.”

“One of the most expensive meals that we had was at Secret Oven. This is an Italian restaurant. $60 for both of us, and that included appetizer, two mains, and two glasses of wine. So, definitely wasn't too, too bad.”

“One recommendation for sure would be to do some kind of one-day excursion. There are a lot of different options for that. We chose to go to Ang Thong Marine National Park. Um when we were in Koh Samui in July, we had really wanted to go, but we didn't have enough time. So, when we were back this time around, we definitely booked it. It was a great um day. We had a speed boat that took us out and we got to go snorkeling, and we did a couple of different hikes to these amazing viewpoints where the water looks so, so, so blue. It looks like it's photoshopped, and you know, we had a local lunch on an island, and it was just a great day.”

“we highly recommend going to Coco Tam's for the fire show. Fire shows are very very popular and that's one of the best places that you can go to see it. It's fantastic. They have like three different sections along the beach with all the beanbag chairs and you know, it's just a great vibe overall and you see the sunset, the fire show. What I would recommend though is either booking a reservation or arriving very early because it does get packed up pretty quickly.”

“And another thing that we did was we spent two days over at Crystal Bay Beach Club. Mhm. Now we did pay to use or rent their lounge chairs which were shaded. We had breakfast there, lunch, bought a few drinks there. Uh Uh definitely worth it.”
