“And here we have the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Belém commonly known as Jerónimos Monastery. one of the most beautiful buildings in Lisbon. However, I was not able to go inside because I didn't know, but this place closes at 5:30 p.m. So, make sure you go before 400 p.m. and they close on Monday. So, don't go there on Monday.”

“So this is the Santa Julia lift and it's a negothic iron elevator built in 1902. It's a very popular tourist attraction in Lisbon and it has great panoramic views of the city. It cost €6 to go up, but let me tell you, the lines are crazy. However it's definitely worth going up.”

“Here we have the oldest church in Lisbon which was built in 1147. It's called the Cathedral of Saint Mary Major often called the Lisbon Cathedral or simply Sé de Lisboa.”

“Now we're going to try Manteigaira, which was founded in 2014. They have quite a few locations, but the original one is located in the Chiado district at Rua do Lorero number two. This was one of my favorite because you can see the baking process and they bake the tarts constantly. So when you have them, they are still warm and the place smells so amazing.”

“And now it's time for my absolute favorite, pastelaria Santo Antonio. This bakery is located in Alfama, close to Castelo São Jorge. And this bakery won the title as the best pastel de nata in Lisbon in 2019. Believe me, the tarts from this bakery are just epic. The flavor, everything was just absolutely perfect. I tried many, many Portuguese egg tarts in this trip and this place makes the best.”

“We're going to start with Cafe A Brasileira which is located in the Chiado district at 120 Rua Garrett. This iconic historic cafe was established in 1905 and let me tell you they make incredible pastéis de nata.”
