Bouillon Julien

Bouillon Julien

★ 4.1

restaurant

“A bouillon that still feels like the 19th century is Bouillon Julien. The line is usually pretty long... when you enter, it feels like you've been transported to the 19th century. It's a giant, beautiful room with really big mirrors. There is a lot of people and the servers have the typical French waiter outfit. One thing I love is that they write your order on the tablecloth. And in terms of food, they serve all the French classics. My favorite being confit.”

Zostera

Zostera

★ 4.7

restaurant

“Zostera, amazing fine dining. Gastronomique restaurants represent the highest level of French cuisine, often Michelin-starred, with elaborate dishes and impeccable service.”

Bistro Ordinaire

Bistro Ordinaire

★ 4.7

restaurant

“Bistro Ordinaire, really great discovery. Bistronomique restaurants combine the quality of fine dining with the casual atmosphere and affordable prices of a bistro.”

Brutus Batignolles

Brutus Batignolles

★ 4.8

restaurant

“Crêperie: Brutus Batignolles, one of my faves (I asked them for an invite)”

Bouillon Chartier

Bouillon Chartier

★ 4.1

restaurant

“Bouillons (like bouillon chartier or bouillon pigalle)”

Arnaud Nicolas

Arnaud Nicolas

★ 4.7

restaurant

“And we're getting food number two at Arnaud Nicolas. That's this guy's shop and he got a national medal for being one of the best at what he does and here everything looks delicious but we are here for quiche lorraine, which you absolutely need to try if you're coming to Paris.”

La Tour d'Argent

La Tour d'Argent

★ 4.6

restaurant

“It's Jambon de Paris, which is the French Parisian cooked ham. And here they use the same one that's sold at La Tour d'Argent, which is a super fancy Michelin starred restaurant, that has apparently been around since the 16th century.”

Fric Frac

Fric Frac

★ 4.9

cafe

“Anyways the one I got at a little sandwich shop called Fric Frac, really passes the test! It was only €9 and it looks really wonderful! So a croque monsieur is a hot sandwich made with ham, cheese, and a white sauce called béchamel, which makes everything taste super creamy. It's one of the typical Café foods for when you want a quick bite.”

BBT

BBT

★ 4.6

restaurant

“So this tiny sandwich shop is called BBT, and they are consistently named one of the best sandwich shops of Paris. It's two friends working together and they only make a 100 sandwiches a day, so I feel pretty lucky to have gotten one! So this sandwich is actually super simple and really delicious. We have a fresh baguette bread, that has obviously been spreaded with salty butter. But what's really cool about this sandwich is actually the ham. It's Jambon de Paris, which is the French Parisian cooked ham. And here they use the same one that's sold at La Tour d'Argent, which is a super fancy Michelin starred restaurantm that has apparently been around since the 16th century.”

Bien Elevé

Bien Elevé

★ 4.6

restaurant

“So right now we are at Bien Elevé, which is a restaurant I've been wanting to try since forever. The place is super famous for its meats and obviously being a regular Theo just knows what to order. So we are going to try the controversial food I was telling you about right after this but we do have to start with THE most iconic French meat dish. So dish number seven is called steak frites, which means steak with fries. So here we have an absolutely beautiful piece of meat, that's perfectly cooked, at least to Fre”

Monoprix

Monoprix

★ 3.8

shopping

“and then obviously at Monoprix, at the supermarket you can find a ton of different wines that are pretty good from France and from other countries right in the supermarket. If you're like us, you want to stay in but you want to have a good night, go ahead and do an at home apéro with stuff from the supermarket, it's always a good idea!”

Place des Vosges

Place des Vosges

experience

“So you've probably seen Place des Vosges in every guide, it's a very wellknown square, but, there's a secret passage at the corner of Place des Vosges. And from there, you can arrive to a really cute courtyard that's linked to a castle, and it's super quiet, and it's a welcome break from all the people and noise of Le Marais neighborhood.”

Montmartre

Montmartre

experience

“My two favorite well-known neighborhoods are Montmartre which is super nice especially if you go in the north a bit away from the Sacré-Cœur you have a bunch of little hidden gems and it's you know the quintessential stereotypical French Vibes, but especially if you go in the north, local people actually live there.”

Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower

★ 4.7

experience

“if it's your first time in Paris, I know you want a picture with the Eiffel Tower... I don't personally think you should go all the way up to the top of the Eiffel Tower, but you know, don't listen to me I've only been there once when I was a kid like every French person. But one thing is, if you are at the top of the Eiffel Tower, you don't see the Eiffel Tower, so there's better places that are free where you can get a good view of Paris. Also it's super overwhelming, there's a big line and big crowds, and, if you're like me and you hate crowds just see the Eiffel Tower from a safe distance, just across the river.”

Musée d'Orsay

Musée d'Orsay

★ 4.8

experience

“My favorite big museum is musée d'Orsay and here again I recommend you just take to one section to not be overwhelmed.”

Sacré-Cœur

Sacré-Cœur

★ 4.7

experience

“Montmartre which is super nice especially if you go in the north a bit away from the Sacré-Cœur you have a bunch of little hidden gems and it's you know the quintessential stereotypical French Vibes.”

Bouillon Pigalle

Bouillon Pigalle

★ 4.6

restaurant

“One good place to try traditional French food is at a Bouillon, and with Bobby we went to Bouillon Pigalle and as you can see here with the lines it is not a hidden spot at all, and it's because a bouillon is Paris version of fast food, which means they serve simple and cheap meals to a lot of people and for starters we went with some paté served with a slice of bread and pickles, and also with œuf mayonnaise which is just that, it's just eggs with mayo, and I've heard it seems to be a really big thing in France because the restaurant we went to had won the egg mayo competition. Then we had one of my favorite French foods, which is steak frites, which is basically just a beefsteak served with homemade fries and pepper sauce. And we also shared a plate of pork roast with garlic potatoes and a bunch of sauce on top. And as you can see on the menu the prices were really, really super low. So, our whole meal, a starter and a main was only 15€ which is around $16.”
