America 32 Bar
★ 4.9bar
“the second is America 32 which is a bar and also in Vinohrady. The vibe at this underground bar was super cool and the cocktails were super tasty. If you're staying in this area definitely check both of these places out.”
Vinohradský Parlament Restaurant
★ 4.5restaurant
“We're going to have a super traditional Czech meal at Parliament Restaurant. This place is meant to be incredible and I want basically everything on the menu, so let's go check it out. We just finished up and it was a delicious meal. It definitely felt really traditional... we had a delicious shredded beef dumpling dish with these dumplings filled with mushrooms and then this sort of beef stew on top.. super yum. And then a confit duck with some sort of mashed and sort of shredded potato underneath. Very good delicious winter food.”
The Alchemist Bar
★ 4.7bar
“Four was a watering hole, The Alchemist Bar. This old town bar was an absolute highlight. We spent hours and hours here working our way through their extremely extensive cocktail list every single order was a hit and the candle lit venue was the perfect date night spot.”
Trdelník & Coffee
★ 4.8cafe
“We've looked up the top rated one near the old town and we're actually in the Jewish Quarter and I'm going to totally butcher this but it's called Trdelník & Coffee. We secured the goods, we got one with soft serve and Nutella. The ice cream is so good. I did steal a little taste tester of the actual chimney cake and it is so fluffy and crunchy at the same time and just delicious. That soft serve is good with the hazel nutty Nutella, great combo. That was a really good chimney cake with the cinnamon the Nutella and the ice cream.”
Eska Restaurant and Bakery
★ 4.5restaurant
“We've come a little bit outside of the centre of Prague to a cafe called Eska. It looks super cool, I'm really excited to check it out. Eska was so worth the trip away from Prague's tourist centre and well deserves its place as number two on our list. Breakfast was an affordable way to try this Michelin bib gourmand venue and we were so stoked that their signature dish of ash potatoes was still on their breakfast menu. They even had great coffee this was a 10 out of 10 breakfast spot.”
U Parlamentu
★ 4.4restaurant
“Coming in at number one is U Parlamentu which is a casual but cool restaurant, right in the heart of the old town. We came here on the recommendation of our walking tour guide and the food was so hearty and delicious. Peter had a warming bowl of goulash, the meat in here just fell apart. I had a chicken schnitzel with delicious buttery parsley potatoes. Definitely check this spot out if you are in Prague.”
Mezi Srnky
★ 4.7cafe
“We usually find it hard to find good coffee on holidays but this cute cafe knocked it out of the park plus it had a super delish cheese toasty”
Sad Man's Tongue Bar and Bistro
★ 4.7restaurant
“So we're off to Sad Man's Tongue Bar and Bistro which is a grill that's known for its burgers and it's one of the top 10 restaurants here in Prague, I'm so excited. I got a burger with a bacon jam and Grace got one with a mango sort of spicy Chutney. I think Grace won, hers was better but for the hour and 10 I think we waited from actually coming to getting our Burger I don't know if it was worth it if I'm being completely honest but it was it was a decent burger and it was pretty cool vibes.”
Prague Christmas Markets
★ 3.6shopping
“Coming in at number seven is the Christmas Market food. There are no losers here so even at the bottom of the ranks the food was pretty darn good. I got some langos with garlic and cheese and Peter got the wood smoked ham. This is my first one of the season it looks really really good fluffy and oily freshly cooked. So garlicky. Super Smokey flavor.”
Cafe Savoy
★ 4.2cafe
“this cafe is meant to be super lux and super beautiful. Yeah it's a bit of a fancy breakfast this morning, we're on our way to Cafe Savoy. Super excited to go to this cute historical cafe. We had a delicious breakfast including some cheeky mimosas. We had a French breakfast and you had some nougat crepes which were super decadent but delicious, good way to start the day. A nice relaxing Sunday morning brunch. It was a beautiful restaurant but there's a big queue out the front. If you can get a booking to get in definitely go, but I don't know if it's worth waiting like an hour out the front for.”
Brouwerij 't IJ
★ 4.6bar
“This windmill brewery was the perfect place to escape the rain and sample some of the beer that the Dutch are so famous for. On a rainy day what better place to go than a brewery and sit inside out the rain and have some beer. Super cool vibes in here like bustling.”
Fabel Friet
★ 4.5restaurant
“We got two different topes we got truffle with parmesan cheese and we got a peanut sauce with some onion and some mayo. They look and smell incredible... chips are so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside... yum.”
Pesca
★ 4.6restaurant
“Now we are at one of the top rated restaurants in Amsterdam, it is called Pesca. It's seafood and there's no menu so let's go check it out. This may be the dinner that I was most excited for... One of the most unique dining experiences I've ever had like 10/10 recommend.”
Saint-Jean Bakery
★ 4.4cafe
“We just had a delicious breakfast at the famous Saint-Jean Bakery it was so so good... They say it's the best pastries in Amsterdam and I think they would be pretty damn hard to beat.”
Bar Parry
★ 4.6bar
“Around the nine streets precinct there are so many funky wine bars and though it was a tough choice we chose Bar Parry for our evening tipple. This was a great spot as they had some super tasty natural wines.”
Gitane
★ 4.4restaurant
“We have come a little bit out of Amsterdam to a cute little wine bar called Gitane... The highlight of the meal though was definitely the dry age beef with brown butter sauce. That steak is amazing with the brown butter sauce, perfect! ... this deconstructed peanut brittle dish was absolutely incredible.”
Noordermarkt
shopping
“We are on our way to the Noordmarket which was recommended to us by our Airbnb host. It's a bit more of a local feel and smaller market here in Amsterdam that's run on Saturdays. She said that's where she does her groceries so we're excited to see how the locals do it but it actually looks massive for a small market... Lots of tasty little stores for us to stop in. Let's see what we're going to grab for some breakfast.”
Hans Egstorf
★ 4.8cafe
“We have a stroop waffle which is the type of waffle that Amsterdam is known for. It looks amazing, it is so warm we went to one of the oldest places in Amsterdam it's called Hans Egstorf... I honestly don't know how anywhere could do it better than Hans Egstorf.”
