The Garrison Church, officially Holy Trinity, is Australia's first official military church, built in the 1840s for soldiers stationed nearby. This beautiful Gothic sandstone church offers a glimpse into Sydney's colonial and military past.

Admire the beautiful Gothic architecture and imagine the red-coated soldiers who once filled this historic military church.
In their own words: “Up ahead is the Garrison Church. Its real name is Holy Trinity... but everyone calls it the Garrison because it was the first official military church in Australia. It was built back in the eighteen forties for the soldiers... If you look at the architecture it’s got that beautiful old Gothic style. Um... what’s really cool is that it was actually built using sandstone quarried right here in the area.”
