Gia is a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant in Hanoi, known for its innovative take on traditional Vietnamese cuisine. It offers an exquisite tasting menu that elevates local flavors to a new level, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts.

Experience the original egg coffee, a velvety, tiramisu-like blend of sweet cream and bitter coffee.
In their own words: “Cafe Giang is the place that started it all. I didn't think it was this busy, but when I came in, it's just packed with people. Rightfully so, this is the OG where they started egg coffee. There is no egg taste. So, you would think that there they have there's some egg taste to it, but it's very velvety and soft and creamy. And because it mixed with the coffee, it's kind of almost like a tiramisu, I would say. Very thick and very creamy foam.”

Try the original egg coffee, invented here during a milk shortage, for a rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced dessert-like coffee experience.
In their own words: “The guy was working at a hotel and there was a shortage of milk back in the '40s during the war, of course. So to combat the shortage of milk, what he did is he used egg yolk and sugar and whipped that and put it on top of the coffee and like the Vietnamese strong Vietnamese coffee and that's how egg coffee was invented and was super popular in Hanoi and most people knew about it here and then eventually it made its way all the way down Vietnam and then worldwide as well. So that's why this place is busy. A lot of people know about egg coffee and they want to try it where it originated from.”

Indulge in the unforgettable 12-course tasting menu, a thoughtful, artistic, and beautifully presented journey through Vietnamese ingredients.
In their own words: “And then there was Gia. Gia is a one star Michelin restaurant and widely considered one of the best restaurants in Hanoi. Reservations are required in advance... We experienced their 12 course tasting menu... It was thoughtful, artistic, beautifully presented, and deeply rooted in Vietnamese ingredients. That meal alone was a significant portion of our food budget, but it was also unforgettable.”
