Unlike Shunbrun, which feels a bit separate, Hofberg is fully part of the city. Construction began back in the 13th century and over time it kept expanding. Each generation added something. So what you see today is a mix of different styles from medieval parts to Baroque and later editions. For a long time this was the political center of the empire.”
