In their own words: “Next is one of Kyoto's most famous long-established restaurants. This is Kyogoku Kaneyo in Shinkyogoku. A historic eel restaurant that has been serving customers since the Meiji era. The traditional wooden building adds to its nostalgic charm. I ordered their famous Kinshi-Don. A luxurious bowl topped with a huge Kyoto-style rolled omelet covering grilled eel. Their signature sauce, passed down through generations, enhances the eel perfectly. One of the places I always find myself returning to in Kyoto.”
