“If I ruled the world, everyone would get a taste of this locally crafted burger. The owner, Chef Shota, masterfully blends his expertise in French cuisine and creative passion to craft their signature thick-cut pastrami burger. And the shop’s ambiance, complete with a rare nod to Nas, sets itself apart from any other burger shop in Japan.”

“If you're looking for the sweetest baked potato in Asakusa then look no further than this spot. This shop uniquely serves 3-month aged Japanese sweet potatoes which creates an undeniable natural sweetness further enhanced with a slow 3-hour bake producing a taste unlike any other potato I've ever had. What they've actually done here is they put custard cream on the sweet baked potato and then they flame broil it and made it just crystallize into this candied little sugar coatings.”

“This shop is hidden in the way back of the back streets and is quite difficult to find but if you're a Macha lover then you've got to risk it all for this spot. My tip is to look for the cat painted shutter and then you'll know you're just one turn away from a crepe shop unlike many others in the area as it uses a premium Uji Macha crafted solely in Kyoto. I got the Yaka crepe which is their standard Macha Tiramisu crepe with a matcha powder sprinkled on top. This is beautiful, this is like the matcha moon if a moon was made out of matcha this is what the surface would look like. Wow that is good, so creamy, oh the matcha is strong in this one.”

I got the strawberry and candied green beans look at this it comes in this sweet little case all homemade and all let me just take the first scoop oh look at that there you go that's intense I love the strawberry flavor right there... the puding itself is quite interesting because it's a little different than the pudding that you have it's usually like super smooth whereas this one has a lot of texture to it... it has a mellow sweetness so a very very Japanese taste.”

“This is behind the counter at a local Japanese 3rd generation ramen shop. I'm taking you deep into the kitchen at Omori Ramen, which is tucked away at the quiet base of Niigata's mountains, known in Japan as Snow Country. Founded in 1951, the shop's original owner pioneered the Joetsu Myoko area's Tonkotsu Shoyu, pork bone soy sauce ramen, and it's been a local mainstay through generations. And even to this day, there's always a line out the door.”
