Juanito, established in 1937, is Barranco, Lima's oldest bar and a beloved institution for experiencing Peru's national cocktail, the Pisco Sour. It's a must-visit for its rich history and authentic drink preparation.

Visit Barranco's oldest bar (since 1937) for an authentic Pisco Sour demonstration, crafted with artistic flair by the owner's grandson.
In their own words: “Any food tour in Lima is not complete without the national drink, the Pisco Sour. For that, we headed off to the oldest bar here in Barranco called Juanito, which means Little Juan. This is a third-generation drinking watering hole/tavern that's been around since 1937. What was so cool was it was actually the grandson who made the Pisco Sour for us, he's the one who showed everyone else on the tour exactly how the drink was made.”

Order their legendary ham sandwich with salsa criolla and a classic Pisco Sour, but remember to bring cash as they don't accept cards.
In their own words: “So we're here at Juanito and this place is like legendary it's one of the oldest bars in Barranco... they're known for their ham sandwich and it is delicious and don't forget you need to bring soles cuz they only take cash.”
