In their own words: “Taro is Osaka's beloved puppet mascot he's dressed as a straight performer and he's been Osaka's unofficial Ambassador since he debuted in front of the restaurant called kui do in 1950 so back in the 1970s when going out to restaurants was more of an adult thing kuy DA's restaurant owners wanted to make a familyfriendly restaurant that would allow kids to be the bosses of the dining experience”
